AWAKENING and LEARNING

Dear Friends:

In my studying and refinement of INTERNAL ENERGY PLUS, I have become aware of the significance of awakening as a critical precondition to learning.

A RANT VERSUS A DISCUSSION

I have been known to pontificate. I have been known to be pompous. I have been known to be confrontational. I have been called crazy, but I am neither irrational nor stupid. I am, as every one of is, different in certain ways from the rest. But the cord that connects me with the rest of the Human Race is woven of those things that we have in common.

In respectful response to your post, below, I will simultaneously accept your challenge and Immediately concede my defeat. You have certainly bested me in a very confusing, one-sided word "game," although most two-person or multi-person games have clear objectives and rules. Some consider daydreaming to be a game, or imagination to be a game, but I would consider them to be individual pastimes. Some might consider hallucinating to be a kind of "game," but I would consider it an impractical, irrational and involuntary departure from the rigors of reality.

As I am neither intelligent nor telepathic enough to understand the point of your post, or to see any cohesive pattern of logic within it, or to even find a question to actually address or answer, I would rather spend our Group's time on simpler things, relating to discovering and attaining goals utilizing the modalities of INTERNAL ENERGY PLUS.

For your information, Colette, I do not ever refer to myself as a martial arts "master" -- I continue to be a student. And while INTERNAL ENERGY PLUS utilizes some techniques derived from ancient martial arts, it is not a martial art at all. It is a system of learning.

As a courtesy to the Group, I am going to ask our Moderator to monitor your posts very carefully for inflammatory language and references, and for coherency and relevance. If you do not adhere to the posting guidelines for the Group, I would ask that the Moderator edit your posts out completely.

Should you wish to carry this discussion any further, please either do so within your own mind, or in some forum other than this Group.

You propose that something exists and you propose that the individual is then to only exist to vidicate your hallucination. This is very similar to many, if not all, pyschopaths, mass murderors, dictators, members of a military junta that rules the United States of America and a Defense Department in Washington DC that rules Burma.

So, are you sure that you want to pursue this line since now the Pentagon, the machine of war and death, much like Lord Zama the holder of the Wheel of Birth,DEath, Life, REpirth, that entire schmeer? A martial artist would have serious problems with the reality that has just been shown to them as being "their reality", no?

Dear Friends:

When it comes to banking nowadays, we would all be wise to adhere to a policy of "Let the Customer" beware. Count your change. Put your hand over your wallet. Reconcile every statement.

Banks are cutting credit lines (arbitrarily and capriciously, despite your actual credit history), destroying credit ratings left and right, charging record fees for overlimit expenditures and late payments, giving us the runaround when we try to "restructure" our mortgages, denying both individuals and businesses any credit facilities, foreclosing without a second thought, and enjoying the pleasure of government-infused taxpayer money. The Fed is not exactly forthcoming with the truth about the financial condition of banks and other credit institutions. The percentage of the population either unemployed or incarcerated continues to grow. The IRS is all but turning its agents into bounty hunters. A growing number of U.S. citizens are without healthcare insurance -- yet the insurance companies seem to be doing fairly well -- their health is certainly better than the average overstressed, overburdened and struggling citizen's. Unpaid insurance claims are piling up while premiums rise like the waters of Hurricane Katrina. There is desperation in the air, like the tinge of ozone before a major thunderstorm. When you telephone any major company for answers or explanations, you get a recorded menu of choices -- and when you've finally made your selection (*after going through any entire decision-tree matrix of choices), you are put on hold. Every possible impediment has been placed between humans to prevent real interpersonal interaction. And we are all suffering the consequences.

The question to ask yourself is, "Does it still make sense to give anyone the benefit of the doubt?"

The greatest challenge facing each of us is finding someone in whom (or something in which) we can trust. Trust is the glue that holds every relationship together. In point of fact, trust is the cement that keeps a society "civilized."

This is indeed a time for trusted friends to rediscover eachother, to reconnect with eachother, and to rebuild society from the smallest fundamental elements of the partnership and the team. Person to person, real space, real time.

YOUR TIME - AND EVERYTHING THAT TRULY MATTERS

WHAT IS YOUR TIME WORTH? And what are YOU worth?

You invest your time, either for instant gratification or compensation, or to build wealth and security for the future. Your time, as I have said repeatedly, is limited, and uncertain. If you are a contributor of great value, choose investments which will reward you...being enslaved to make a meager living can keep you from choosing better opportunities to be justly and deservedly compensated.

The irony here, is that sometimes the illusion of financial security is merely concealing an ongoing loss of opportunity, and for earning what you are truly worth.

Yes, security can indeed be enslavement, just as easily as insecurity can be the gateway to liberation.

Be vigilant. Pay attention to both sides of your psyche -- the intuitive side, and the conscious, intellectual side. Get in touch with a) who you are; b) what you are doing; c) why you are doing what you are doing (i.e., the "payoff"); and d) if there is something you should be doing instead of what you are doing.

Warning: Introspection and self-awareness can be frightening. You will likely find that you have rationalized and compromised yourself, your time and your life (everything that matters) in exchange for far less than you had ever imagined. You may have constructed a cage for yourself out of your own fears --- and that cage is separating you from truly fulfilling your needs and desires.

SELF-IMPOSED PUNISHMENT IS NOT THE SAME AS PRACTICAL DISCIPLINE. Discipline is a skill, whereby you employ focus in order to attain a visualized objective. Self-imposed punishment is merely the bastard offspring of fear, insecurity and self-hatred...it is dangerously masochistic. It ensnares us in an ever-tightening net.

I am still working on this, as I am working on myself. I am writing about it, but I have not personally mastered it -- my greatest comfort is in knowing that I am being honest with myself about myself. I know (both sides of my psyche are in agreement regarding this) that I am now headed in the right direction.

THE PRACTICAL UTILITY OF FORGIVENESS

Dear Friends:

I have often stated, when angered and trying to make a "tough guy" point, that I neither forget nor forgive.

On further reflection, I have found that with the passage of time, while I do not forget, the experiences lose some of their emotional charge and feel more like wisdom. This wisdom is extraordinarily valuable to me.

I have also found that I need to forgive in order to survive, and to move on with my life.

When I focus my energy on vindictiveness, revenge or upon any related negative emotions, they submerge me in a pool of my own acid. They destroy my creativity, my appreciation of the moment, and my ability to attract positive outcomes. Forgiveness is not truly a virtue -- that poetic notion is specious. The cold truth of the matter is that forgiveness, or "letting the vengeful thoughts simply disperse," is necessary for survival and success in life. If you are consumed with negative thoughts, the positive ones are simply crowded out. You emotionally suffocate yourself with hatred and resentment.

A grudge is borne at great cost to the bearer.

I noticed an interesting quotation today that I would like to share with each and all of you:

"To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you." -Lewis Smedes

This is indeed something positive to think about, and upon which to act.
